before cleaning.  
5. Avoid contacting moving parts.  
6. Do not open pressurized (aerosol-type) cans.  
7 . Do not open cans of flammable liquids such as lighter fluids.  
8 . Do not operate any appliance with a damaged cord or plug or after the appliance  
malfunctions or is dropped or damaged in any manner. Return the appliance to  
the authorized service facility for examination, repair, or electrical or mechanical  
adjustment.  
9 . The use of attachments not recommended or sold by the manufacturer may cause  
fire, electrical shock, or injury.  
10. Do not use outdoors.  
Do not let cord hang over the edge of the table or counter, or touch hot surfaces.  
12. Do not leave can opener unattended while it is operating.  
13. Do not operate this appliance in the presence of explosive and/or flammable  
fumes.

This appliance has a polarized plug (one blade is wider than the other). To reduce the

TO USE THE CAN OPENER  
Plug electrical cord into 120 volt, 60 cycle AC outlet.  
2. Place can against front of drive wheel with top edge of can touching guide pin.  
(See diagram A)  
3 . Push handle down and hold until the can lid is automatically pierced and the cutting  
action begins. (See diagram B)  
4. It is not necessary to hold the can opener handle down during the cutting cycle.  
5. When can is fully opened, the cutting action will automatically stop. The can will  
remain in position until the handle is raised. To release the can, grip the can firmly  
in one hand and raise the handle with the other hand. (See diagram C) The  
magnet will retain the lid.  
Dented Cans  
Occasionally, badly dented cans will cause the can opener to stall. If this happens,  
grasp the dented can and guide it through the cutting action manually, until the  
damaged areas are passed.  
Jammed Cans  
To open a can that has become jammed, raise the can opener lever and release the  
can. Begin the cutting action again in a new place on the can lip.  
 
Before cleaning UNPLUG THE CORD FROM OUTLET. To insure proper sanitation, the Pop  
module should be detached and cleaned thoroughly in the dishwasher or in warm, sudsy  
water at regular intervals. The motor housing wipes easily using

MAKE SURE THE HANDLE IS IN THE UPRIGHT POSITION. Unplug the can opener. Hold the can  
opener with both hands and firmly press down on the eject button. (see Diagram A) Pull the  
module out using the magnetic arm.  
To replace the POP  
Module grip the unit with both hands and firmly push the module  
with magnet side facing out into the unit. (See diagram B)

lifetime service and require no further attention. The cutting blade is made of hardened steel and
